3DS firmware, Mario Kart 7 updated -
Your online Mario Kart 7 racing experience should now be filled with less cheaters, thanks to a patch released last night that fixes the shortcut glitches in Maka Wuhu, Wuhu Loop, and GBA Bowser Castle 1. You won’t be able to play online without downloading this update from the eShop.
A 3DS firmware update was also made available last night, updating the system software to version 4.1.0-8. In case you’re wondering what the deal is with this update, users haven’t reported any major changes so far, except for the ability to access the System Update option while parental controls are turned on, without a PIN. So… the only thing this system update affects is system updates. Cool.

Three years after Nintendo released New Play Control! Pikmin 2 in Japan and Europe, the GameCube-to-Wii port is finally hitting the States. Making up for the delay, the will be sold for $19.99 under Wii’s Nintendo Selects label starting June 10. Mario Power Tennis will also join value line and see a similar discount.
Also getting discounts soon, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Donkey Kong Country Returns will both be sold with an MSRP of $29.99. So, if you own a Wii but have somehow managed to not pick those up, now you can for cheap.

Funghi iPhone cases, available from Strapya. After the release of Touch Detective and its sequel on iPhone, Funghi is totally a thing now – whereas before he just looked like one. There’s a spinoff game, Mushroom Gardening Kit, about growing Funghi and various other suggestive-looking mushroom pals, aaaaaaaand a bunch of spinoff merchandise, like these cases.

Blip Fest 2012's full schedule posted -
The full schedule of performances at this year’s Blip Festival NYC is now up on the website, so you can pick your one-day tickets if you want (or just see who’s playing!) Holy crap, it’s this month!
Two daytime workshops were also announced, with tickets available: Danimal Cannon’s “LSDJ Masterclass” on Saturday, and “Blips and Bleeps: Square Wave Oscillators 101 with Burnkit2600” on Sunday.
Even if you can’t make it, you can enjoy the above mini-documentary about last year’s Blip Festival, by 2 Player Productions.
