More 3DS Expansion Slide Pad photos, details. Here are shots of the peripheral in the wild, and unfortunately, it’s not looking any prettier. Apparently, the thing requires a AAA battery, so there goes my hope that the grip would include one built-in to extend the 3DS’s battery life.
Monster Hunter Tri-G (and probably Monster Hunter 4) won’t be the only title to support the Frankenstick; these will, too: Resident Evil Revelations, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble, Dynasty Warriors Vs., and Kingdom Hearts 3D. I’m surprised Kid Icarus: Uprising isn’t listed, what with the delay and complaints about right-handed-only controls.
This will sell for ¥1,500, or around $20 considering the strong yen, in Japan starting December 10. You should be able to import this without a problem, since it is just a peripheral. Nintendo hasn’t announced yet when this will come to the West, or what that strange wrist strap warning in the third image is all about.
