In this fake 16-bit game (notice the ripped Streets of Rage graphics!) based on the film/play of the same name and presented at MTV’s recent movie awards show, you take on the role of Catholic priest and accused child molester Father Flynn, protecting young altar boy Donald Miller from Sisters Aloysius and James.

If one of the nuns manages to snatch the boy away from you, an Accusation timer counts down, and you have only a few seconds to rescue him before Sister Aloysius proclaims her certainty, banishing you to a different parish. Excellent adaptation!

To my astonishment, MTV actually went through the trouble of printing box and cartridge art for the game:

This is the coolest thing MTV has done since making Ice Cube’s “Today Was a Good Day” the jam of the week in ‘93.
