Game Boy Pocket commercial voiced by Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black, David Wain, Kerri Kenney, and Ben Garant (names you’ll recognize from The State, Stella, Reno 911, Wet Hot American Summer, The Ten, etc.).

This is pretty fantastic! Apparently, the group was flown to Chicago (Leo Burnett HQ probably) about 13 years ago to play with the systems and record the commercial. This reminds me of Paul Rudd’s Super Nintendo commercial, except awesomer, because the Michaels are fab.

My wife and I finally listened to Showalter’s Sandwiches & Cats album while driving around last weekend, and though it wasn’t that great (surprising, considering how hilarious his stand-up is), I’ve had this obscene sentence from his “Erotica” story stuck in my head since: “At this one certain point, my big loaf of bread accidentally slips inside her oven mitt, and we start making poundcake, kid.”
