Accel Knights, a new DSiWare game out this week from DS Dragon Quest 4/5/6 and Opoona developer Artepiazza. This is a card-based RPG that appears to be about futuristic motorcycle jousting! As befits a joust, there are timing-based attacks. Also, magic. I don’t really understand exactly how this works, but I love the art.

Speaking of Opoona, that is a game I wanted so badly to like. It looked like a cutesy Phantasy Star Online, it had simple Nunchuk-only controls, it was destined to be super obscure… all the ingredients were in place. Except for “not being boring.” If anyone else played more than the admittedly small sample of Opoona I did, I’d love to hear about it.
