Just like the system update that launched the eShop, Nintendo is letting the date of its next big 3DS firmware update slide. As I noted on Joystiq, the firmware update has been pushed back to a new deadline of December 8 — which, of course, will be the day it actually comes out.

This is the firmware update that adds 3D video recording, new eShop upgrades, and, most importantly, some new StreetPass stuff including Find Mii 2.
