Club Nintendo: WiiWare vs. headwear

Okay, we’re having a real crisis here, and we need your help. Here’s the deal: no doubt you’ve seen the Club Nintendo prizes for North America. Somehow, both Eric and I managed to hit Platinum, and now we’re totally stumped as to which of the gifts to take. And yes, I realize that if we’re worried about which free thing to ask for, life is going pretty well.

The Punch-Out!! thing is an exclusive game, and that’s very cool. But the Mario hat is a thing, and there’s something much more appealing about receiving a physical, tangible thing as a reward, instead of a digital non-thing.There’s also the Gold calendar, which I don’t even know if Platinum members can get.

So Platinum-style readers, what did you pick? Or what would you pick?
