Pac-Man Land postcard photo, from the Pac-Man-themed children’s area of Six Flags Over Texas, open from 1983-1985. I went to Six Flags Over Texas a few times as a kid, but I just missed the opportunity to… you know, play in one of those fast-food restaurant play structures arranged in a manner vaguely reminiscent of a Pac-Man maze.
This slideshow has a few more images of Pac-Man Land:
By my first visit, it was already Looney Tunes Land. During that first visit, by the way, a light drizzle drove almost all the customers away and we basically had the park all to ourselves. I can hardly think of a better experience for a kid’s first theme park trip. I wonder if people are still so quick to bail out in the rain, after the addition of a popular ride designed almost solely for the purpose of drenching bystanders.
