Fire Emblem: Awakening:
- Looks like the frickin’ business
- DLC sets offer new maps and episodes
- First DLC will be free for a limited time
- Hits Europe this year, no U.S announcemnt
Etrian Odyssey IV:
- Players explore areas in an airship
- More details announced last night
New and untitled Brain Training game:
- Focuses on concentration and working memory
- Concentration parts sounds really useful for those who’ve become scatter-brained by our information-overloaded times
- Targets both older users and young students
- Dr. Kawashima’s floating head can turn into a demon with hard challenges, Evil Arino-style
- Releasing in Japan this summer
Other notable items:
- Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii hits North America on April 6 with this alternate boxart
- Namco Bandai, Sega, and Capcom collaborating on a mystery project for 3DS under the Banpresto brand
- Game Gear titles coming to 3DS Virtual Console soon, starting with Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Dragon Crystal, and G.G. Shinobi
- Rune Factory 4 coming to Japan in July
- Soccer game Calciobit ships to stores in Japan this July, featuring online play and leaderboards
- Omiyasoft’s card/board/strategy game Culdcept releases in Japan on July 20 with online support — described as the “real culmination of the series”
- Fatal Frame II’s Wii remake coming to Europe as Project Zero 2: Wii Edition
- Nintendo will be able to send out Swapnotes to people who play certain games
