Cave Story’s first round of DLC

Along with revealing Cave Story will go through WiiWare’s final submission process at the end of this month, Nicalis’s Tyrone Rodriguez detailed what downloadable content you can expect soon after the remake’s release:

1. Time Attack Mode (“you can try your fastest you-know-where”)
2. Armored Mode (“the enemies, not you”)

Rodriguez also mentions a 3HP mode “for those of you who can do it”, an idea so nuts and impossible (well, not really) that someone once wrote fanfiction about it.

The studio plans to announce more downloadable content in the future, as opposed to in the past, which has already happened and so far provided us with little new info.
