Our long national nightmare of not having folders on the 3DS menu is finally over

Four months since the last firmware release, Nintendo has put out a new Nintendo 3DS update — if you’re in North America, you can download it right now!

With the new 3DS firmware, you can now create folders on the system menu, which hold up to 60 games or apps (icon size in the folders are adjustable, like menu icons).

The eShop has received an overhaul, and it appears to make finding things on the service easier. There’s support for game patches and updates now, too, so look forward to Mario Kart 7’s Maka Wuhu glitch fix.
