TJ&E creator Greg Johnson pitched a multiplayer ToeJam & Earl sequel for DS to a bunch of publishers without luck: “[I] didn’t have any luck getting interest from any publisher – I approached pretty much all of them.” ToeJam & Earl 4 would be the same sort of semi-roguelike game as the original, but with some rhythm elements from ToeJams 2 and 3.
