Photos of a Nintendo 3DS allegedly stolen from a Chinese factory. In a move reminiscent of last year’s stolen iPhone 4 stories, a worker from a Chinese factory claims to have lifted a Nintendo 3DS unit, taking it home and posting photos of the device.
Though stories like these are suspicious, the thief has posted photos of the system booting up (into a debug mode) and the device with its back pulled off. It’s possible this could be one of the 3DSes Nintendo is having manufactured for its upcoming public events.
Unfortunately, the photos and worker haven’t revealed anything new about the device, as far as I can tell. We might learn more if the smuggler posts more details — that is, unless Nintendo sends Groove Raider a team of professional assassins after him.
