Culdcept DS game basics translated into English. I keep expecting this fan translation project to suddenly die like other near-complete patches I’ve kept an anxious eye on (e.g. Hajime no Ippo The Fighting! DS), but this one is thankfully still alive. It even received an update this week containing the first batch of manual translations.

If you’ve never heard of the Culdcept series, it’s a turn-based strategy/card/board game often described as Monopoly meets Magic: The Gathering. The franchise appeared on Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, and Xbox 360. The game finally received a portable version for the DS in Japan last year courtesy of Sega, and most of the impressions I’ve read about the title are very positive.
