Brownie Brown’s latest: Kappa Road
Brownie Brown isn’t just working on those two projects for Level-5, Professor Layton’s London Life and Fantasy Life (both of which mimic the visual style of Mother 3, another game the studio helped out with). Next week, the developer releases Kappa Road, another top-down title with cute sprites, for 500 Points on Japan’s DSiWare shop.
Even though this simple game looks geared toward kids, I adore the pensive artwork Brownie Brown posted of the game’s green duck in its development blog:

Japan’s DSiWare shop receives seven (seven!) new games next week, most of which aren’t worth a damn. Kappa Road, Arc System Works’s new Tantei Saburo Jinguji (Jake Hunter) episode, and Genterprise/Suzak’s latest G.G. Series title BlackXBlock are worth a look, though.
