Nintendo’s new DSiWare release lets you star in a digitized fighting game
While the actual fighting in Fight With Photos: Photo Fighter X won’t pull fans away from Street Fighter IV, it features a curious gimmick made possible with the DSi’s unique hardware: you can take photos of yourself in different poses using the camera, record audio bites with the mic, and star in the fighting game.
With eight character slots available, you can also add your friends, family, and pets to the roster of fighters. The backgrounds are customizable, too, so you can stage an epic match between your cat and dad, battling to the death as a close-up photo of your wang looms over them.
The character creation process looks simple enough, and you can even make your own special attacks:
The single-player mode is a side-scrolling brawler in which you take out 100 opponents, whereas the two-player mode is a one-on-one fighter with another twist — you both share the same system and controls!
Your opponent and you move with the directional pad and face buttons, but the shoulder buttons work in conjunction with the different directions to perform attacks:

Nintendo understands that this is a novelty game, so it’s priced Fight With Photos: Photo Fighter X accordingly at 200 Nintendo Points. The game hits Japan next week. No word yet on a U.S. or European release, unfortunately.
