Startling revelation of the week

The “P” in Super Mario Bros. 3’s P-Wing stands for “Paratroopa”, as in Paratroopa Wing. Mind blown.
Almost as surprising — Nintendo veteran Toshihiko Nakago revealed in a recent interview with company president Satoru Iwata (the same Q&A that betrayed the above secret) that he shared a bed with legendary designer Shigeru Miyamoto on more than one occasion:
Nakago: As Excitebike was being developed in Tokyo, I went on a lot of business trips there together with Miyamoto-san and we’d often stay over in a hotel. That was right at the start of the bubble economy and there were times when it would be really hard to secure a hotel room. There were even times when we slept in the same bed.
Iwata: …What!? (laughs)
Two men sleeping together! Scandalous, I know. Unfortunately, details on how the two would spoon while recounting their day, feigning annoyance over having to share a single milkshake earlier in the night (company budget considerations, of course), were cut from the interview transcript posted online.
Of course, NeoGAF already has some Nakago/Miyamoto fanfiction, with bonus Excitebots ribbing!
