Here’s what happens when you get 1 million coins in New Super Mario Bros. 2 — how underwhelming!
From what I can tell in this spoiler video, you just get an “Incredible!” and a new title screen. It’s still unclear if there are any changes or bonuses when you load the game, but it’s best not to be too optimistic about these things…
From what I’ve heard, it’s possible to complete the entire game and not even get up to 10 percent of the 1 million coin goal. Nintendomination, the fellow who posted this video, hit this milestone by playing hardcore for three days! Seems like deserves a lot more for his devotion.
