Opening theme to Incredible Crisis, by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. I had intended to write about this weird-ass PlayStation game by Polygon Magic, but Chiptuned’s Bob Mackey beat me to it — and all the better, since he uploaded this music.
Incredible Crisis is a minigame collection that tells the story of a family having a monumentally shitty day. Taneo’s building is collapsed with him in it, bank robbers hold Etsuko hostage, and UFOs and giant rampaging teddy bears collude to keep the family from converging for grandmother Haruko’s birthday party. Even now that minigame collections are nothing shocking, the game is weird as hell.
Like pretty much every other random Japanese game I find myself interested in, Incredible Crisis has a Love-de-Lic connection: it was directed by ex-Love-de-Lic, Skip founder, and Chibi-Robo creator Kenichi Nishi.
