Haunted 3DS! Back in 2009, Eric discovered that putting a DS Lite on top of his newly-acquired DSi caused the new system to go to sleep, an effect he initially attributed to the DS Lite being The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase.
However, it turns out that the reverse is true for the new 3DS: as demonstrated in this video, putting another DS in contact with a 3DS in sleep mode wakes up the dormant 3DS, Dr. Frankenstein style.
In both cases, the actual cause is a magnet in the lid of the system that is used to help determine if the system is closed. But it sounds really boring that way. Apparently, the 3DS manual even warns users about this.
