Love-de-Lic notepad with Paper Mario concepts in it. Paper Mario: Sticker Star director Taro Kudo is at Vanpool now, but worked at Love-de-Lic when Nintendo borrowed his Mario RPG expertise in 1997 to help create the first Paper Mario. In both cases, Kudo worked at an external company, but was brought in to work with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems.
This ties in nicely to my theory that everything great in Japanese games since the mid-90s can be traced back directly to Love-de-Lic. Everything great, and Paper Mario: Sticker Star.
