Hudson is manufacturing a new run of their iconic Shooting Watch device, which measures players’ button-pressing speed. For reference, Takahashi Meijin became famous for his ability to shoot 16 times in a second.
NCSX will ship these out in December, at a cost of $18.90 each. It’s a bit steep, maybe, especially considering how much more feature-rich the free Shooting Watch DS is, but the Shooting Watch is charming enough as an artifact of classic gaming nerdery that I am really excited about this. It’ll also be available from Play-Asia.
A few months back, I bought a Capsule Shooting Watch gashapon from Play-Asia. It looks the part, but the buttons don’t always register. Which is a bit of a problem for an item that measures the number of times you press the buttons.
