This is the mode about which producer Akari Uchida issued the breathlessly nerdy statement “Nights are going to be be tough for gamers. Your girlfriend will say things like ‘Okay, who’s going to turn the lights out first?’, and it’ll really get exciting — you won’t be in any mood to sleep, I don’t think.”

Perhaps even more embarrassing is that the game includes a new event in which you go check up on your girlfriend at home because she caught a cold. Is this in the interest of verisimilitude, or does it address some desire to take care of someone? Were I to design a dating game, post-nasal drip would be pretty far down on the design doc. Who was the guy in the planning meeting who said “You know when your girlfriend catches a cold? I love that!”
