Etrian Odyssey III promo clip asks, “What’s Your Story?”
This EOIII video seems like a great idea on paper: emphasize the idea of players making up their own story for their party of heroes while exploring dungeons and battling beasts. The gameplay videos and character scenarios are interesting enough, too!
It’s just the voice acting is so… distracting. I understand Atlus had to come up with something better than forcing viewers to read line after line of text in the trailer, but… Thankfully, this voice acting isn’t in the actual game.
In case you missed the announcement during E3, EOIII: The Drowned City releases in North America on September 1st. Atlus plans to release more videos about “character creation and customization, exploration, combat, quests”, and more as the game’s launch approaches.
