Crazy Super Mario Bros. hack, made in the FCEUX emulator with custom scripts, that adds mouse control. You can actually pick up enemies and items in-game and move them around!

As a non-programmer, this looks like magic to me. And not like some David Copperfield mirror business — like if Merlin showed up in my house in a cloud of smoke and made my cat ten times larger.
