Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars theme (instrumental).

For all my complaining about Chinatown Wars’ instrumental-heavy soundtrack and lack of cocaine rap, its actually not that bad! You can hear a bit of it in this video — my apologies for linking to footage taken from a bootlegged ROM, but Rockstar has released a distressingly small amount of media for the game, despite it releasing next week. Was this the case with Grand Theft Auto IV? Doubt it!

The publisher also released the full (some would say “needlessly extended”) Chinatown Wars track with verses by Ghostface Killah and Doom, and DJ Premier introducing and mixing the track. As far as rap songs created for promotional purposes go, it’s certainly not as bad as Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Target commercial, but I wouldn’t say it’s of the same caliber as Kriss Kross’ Sprite ditty, either.
