“Ribbit Dance (Bright Rock ‘n’ Roll)” from Disc 2 of the Japanese Rhythm Tengoku Complete Music Collection.
This is one of several songs that Nintendo of America re-recorded in English for the U.S. release of Rhythm Heaven (shipping this weekend!). You can hear the localized version here. It didn’t turn out nearly as bad as some of the other new recordings.
“HEY NOW, this is my song. FOR YOU, yeah that’s right.”
If you’re one of those weeaboos people who prefer the rhythm game’s original music, there is an early Undub Patch, which of course requires a flashcart and a ROM of the game — preferably not a pirated one. Using the hack, however, will change all the audio to Japanese and not just the songs, and there are slight synchronization problems in two stages. Them’s the breaks.
