“Spectronosis” by FearofDark. I haven’t posted a chiptune track in weeks! Lately, I’ve devoted my ears to Mew’s No More Stories and Gza’s Liquid Swords, the latter holding my attention for close to 20 years now. Give those albums a try if you haven’t yet.

I have also spent time with a particular micromusic compilation that I’ll discuss in the near future, but know that it is the business. This blithe “Spectronosis” song is similarly exceptional, composed by a 15-year-old artist, surprisingly. Something about it makes me want to skirt through Green Hills Zone.

I wanted to post another track, “Transform” by 4mat, last week, as it’s a splendid “chip hop” song, but the “Woo! Yeah!” James Brown sample ruined it for me — I can’t hear it without thinking of Jock Jams.
