Holding up to 24 carts, this $28 (¥2790) DSi Card Holder 2 Set slips into a crowd of books, with no one the wiser. It’s not as portable as the revered Penguin United case, but it holds just as many games, and will match your PS3 (or your Western Digital My Book External Drive).

With this product comes the end of our DSi Accessory Week, which was a huge success in that it was undoubtedly a week of DSi accessories. It wasn’t that impossible of a target to hit, but we kicked everyone else’s ass who didn’t know they were in a competition to post handheld junk.
Here’s everything we featured:

DS Family Attache Case →

This toolbox reminds me of the big plastic suitcases Blockbuster used to hand over whenever you’d rent a console, though this is considerably smaller.
Essentially a Kaboodles case for nerds, the DS Family Attache Case is built for transporting or stowing away up to two DSis or DS Lites, with compartments for AC adapters and several game carts. Here’s the box closed:

On the right, you’ll see a cross section of the space right underneath the DSes — that grainy stuff might look like sand, which wouldn’t be healthy for your handhelds, but it’s actually foam padding. That will come in handy when you drop the case after the flimsy plastic handle breaks!
The DS Family Attache Case is available only in Japan (as far as I know), and is priced at $28 (¥2,790).

DSi Oil Leather Case →

I haven’t yet decided whether this DSi case with the two-way strap is incredibly classy or incredibly douche-y. Thankfully, the two-way strap that you see is an optional purchase for $24 (¥2380) — it isn’t required that you attach the pouch onto the belt loop of your worn jeans; you can tuck it into the inside pocket of your sports coat, too.

I don’t quite understand the two-way strap, shown here with an iPhone case to demonstrate its length. Apparently, it can be used in a number of configurations, even around your neck, though I doubt a DSi necklace would be comfortable for longer than a few minutes.

One thing I love about this case is that it has holes to plug in your headphones or charging cable without removing the system. Furthermore, you can pull out your stlus and SD card, and as show in the top photo, the pouch bows when opened, so you can still hit the shoulder buttons.

It also comes with this small carrier that you can stuff game carts in and wrap your headphones cord around.
The DSi Oil Leather Case comes in three colors — Brown, Light Brown, and Dark Brown — and is available in Japanese online shops for $40 (¥3980), without the strap.

It's a touch pen with a leash →

Keys Factory’s Touch Pen Leash DSi. For some reason, the black version sells for $3.99 at Play-Asia, but the white one costs $5.99. Even at nonsensically unbalanced prices, however, this is a smart item.
It’s a stylus that attaches to the DS with a stretchy cord. It doesn’t really require that much explanation!

A camera flash for your DSi →

I’m not sure how the accessory works at all, but DreamGear claims that its DSi 3-In-1 Flash Cover attaches onto your system and is an “all in one solution for taking pictures with [a] DSi in dark rooms or at night.”
I’ve no idea if the flash is manually activated, or if it is somehow synchronized with your DSi — my guess is that for $14.99, the solution is going to be ghetto as hell. Maybe it’s just a tiny light that you can switch on and off.
One cool thing about the cover is that it has a sliding lens protector, which still doesn’t make up for this contraption’s inability to fit into any compact DSi pouches.
The DSi 3-In-1 Flash Cover is available in White, Blue, Black, and Pink. Presumably, it also comes with the screen protectors and the screen wipe shown in the product shots.

Decent-looking DSi cases from GameStop →

Most DS cases and accessories you can get from GameStop are unremarkable at best, and bloated/Star Wars themed at worst. But if you have extra trade-in credit or just want to grab a case along with your system, there are a couple of interesting-looking accessories available for the DSi there. Well, one that is interesting-looking and useful, and one that is just interesting-looking.
BD&A’s DSi System Wallet, a “contemporary fold-over design with magnetic closure for DSi owners who appreciate style,” is actually a pretty okay case. Much less of an eyesore than the usual nylon mini-backpack mess you usually see at GameStop.

Mad Catz’s DSi ArmorStore Case is a plastic shell that adds slide-out storage for a stylus and three games (or three SD cards). When I showed this to Eric, he said “Now you can carry both Catz and Dogz, with a Crazy Monkeyz cart in your DSi!”

DreamGear's DSi Dual Dock (black) →

How do you create a dock that can charge both a Nintendo DS Lite and a DSi when the two systems require different adapters and have different ports? DreamGear’s solution is simple, slap two charging bases together.
I believe you’ll need to supply your own DSi or DS Lite AC adapters, but that doesn’t seem so bad considering that you can buy the Black dock for only $12.85 on Amazon.
There’s also a White version for $14.99, and a Blue model is currently in production, both shown below:

My only issue with the dock is that it’s advertised as having a “glowing base”, which really seems needless, and possibly looks corny. It also has LED charge indicators, which actually serve a purpose.
