Guest Post Roundup!

Eric has returned from his vacation, meaning that our series of guest posts has come to an end. We’ve had some amazingly rad content on the site over the last two weeks, thanks to the diligent efforts of Matt Hawkins, Adam Robezzoli, and Bruno de Figueiredo!

I thought I would link to all our guest posts again, for those of you who are Eric and missed the last couple of weeks. Every link after the break goes to something wonderful that is absolutely worth checking out!

“PlayMonstra” by Russian design duo Indeepop.

I’ve been sitting on this one for a while, mainly because I wanted to sell it as a print in my shop. Unfortunately the language barrier doomed my communications with Indeepop, and unless I befriend a bilingual Russian speaker sometime soon, I don’t think it’s going to happen.

But my failure is your great success! You can grab a desktop background variant of the above design and save on the shipping costs.

Also: Super Famicom goggles are the best goggles.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Out With My Girlfriends” by George Michael Brower. As if the song weren’t impressive enough, he created his own rhythm game to go with it!

And if you liked that, be sure to check out the GMB opening for the GZA.

[Hey! I’m Adam Robezzoli, the laziest of the three amigos asked to fill in while Eric is away. I run Attract Mode, and I’m the co-director of the upcoming LA Game Space. I promise my posts won’t be as long as Matt’s!]

My bud Corey Lewis AKA reyyy just released some concept sketches he drew for a Soul Calibur comic that never materialized. Corey is the creator of Sharknife, Peng and the Rival Schools comic.

Check out the page sketch with Maxi destroying Astaroth. It’s an actual combo from the game, complete with button presses!

It’s too bad the comic never came through. But if you are hungry for more reyyy creations, be sure to check out his weekly web comic Seedless, and his Flickr account for images of Terry Bogard, Chun-Li and other cool stuff.
