"Space Pirates" by Adam Sidwell (click for a larger image).
Wow! I think many gamers would’ve preferred this artwork over Metroid: Other M's boring North American cover, even though Samus kind of looks like a motocross ghostrider here. Certainly, it would be a step closer to Japan’s wayyyy cool packaging for the Wii game.
You can probably acquire a print of this by contacting Adam. By the way, you might recognize the artist of this piece as the same illustrator behind those double-sided Mega Man 2 posters we mentioned not too long ago. You might see those pop up here again soon in an upcoming contest… In the meantime, we’re currently running another giveaway that’s not to be missed.

Buy: Metroid: Other M (U.S. edition)

Double-sided Mega Man 2 posters by Adam Sidwell. These three pieces were made as part of Sidwell’s “52 Bad Dudes" project, partially in response to a user poll. Following the completion of the third poster, Metal Man (he was convinced to draw Metal Man by a commenter who said that "in the expanded Mega Man universe, Metal Man is also in a kick ass METAL band, and he eats lead”), he printed them and is now offering them as a set on Etsy.

As of right now, there are 44 sets remaining, at $20 each. I hope you guys don’t all buy them right away, because I really like them and I haven’t ordered yet (how often do I say that?) I especially dig that Quick Man stage graphic!
