The bundle comes with a Wii U copy of the game, a special edition GameCube controller, and a four-port GameCube controller adapter (Wii U console not included). It’s $99.99 for the package, which is $10 cheaper than what you’d pay for everything separately.
And here’s where you can buy everything separately:
- Smash Bros.-edition GameCube controller
- Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter
- Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS
You also have the option of finding someone to mod your 2DS/3DS with a GameCube controller adapter. Thanks to @Wario64 for the tip!
Mario Kart 7 is only $24.99 on Amazon right now ⊟
I know Mario Kart 8 and Luigi’s death stare arewhat everyone is into at the moment, but Wario is still in Mario Kart 7, so it’s nice that you can get this sexy game for a portable pretty cheap right now. Deal via ss4444gogeta, tweet via @weinerdog4life!

Amazon price-matches PSN Batman deals [update: gone!] ⊟
…and you don’t even need Plus to get the prices! Here’s Injustice (Vita) for $4.20 and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate for the same price. Blackgate’s got some issues but it’s absolutely worth playing at that crazy price. If you want to play the PS3 Origins game, that’s $8.40. Via @wario64!
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright now $30 ⊟
Cool, a price war on this unreleased product! Both Best Buy and Amazon have dropped Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney to $29.99, in advance of its August 26 release. That’s $10 off the list price for this game that, I’ll note once again, is not out yet.
If you already ordered it from Amazon at the exorbitant, wildly inflated price of $32, the pre-order price guarantee has you covered! Image by Maki.

Even though it’s just a slight discount at Amazon, we make sure to mention whenever Fire Emblem: Awakening gets a discount because it’s that good! Also, we get to dig for and share goofy pic like this pining photo with Chrom, posted by Chamie. Her caption: ”Goodbye mom, goodbye dad, my husband has finally come for me, it’s been fun.”
There’s another 3DS RPG discounted at Amazon right now, too: Shin Megami Tensei IV for $19.99.
If all the slow-mo GIFs and Luigi gags haven’t already convinced you to pick this up, you can get the Wii U game at a discount from Amazon for $48.80 right now (free shipping).
Credit to the the recently revived Pause Game (previously Good Game Get) for the photo, which posted a very Tiny-style review for Mario Kart 8.
Amazon has discounted Kirby Triple Deluxe to $29.96 ahead of the 3DS game’s May 2 release. I’ve heard the game is really, really, really good, and I promise you I’m seriously not just saying that because we attach referral tags to these Amazon links. People are calling this the business, and part of that business is cowboy Kirby whipping a big ol’ walrus butt (GIF via Manolizer!).
Fire Emblem: Awakening & Bravely Default for $32 each ⊟
Another stellar 3DS RPG on sale! Fire Emblem: Awakening is just $31.99 on Amazon right now, while Bravely Default is $31.66. At those prices, you can get two of the best RPGs from the last two years, for the same you’d pay if you bought something butt on a console like Lightning Returns.
$31.66, actually — you should grab this fun 3DS JRPG if you haven’t yet. I told JC about this deal, to which he responded, “More like… Savely Discount,” and so that’s why he’s not allowed to post on this site anymore.
Less than half its original price! And it’s a pretty great game, according to people who play Wii U games and can tell whether something is great or not. Credit to This is my Forest for the GIF!
[Update: It’s now on backorder, but you can still buy it for $24 on the sidebar.]

Amazon’s Crystal White PS Vitas likely repackaged from AC3: Liberation bundles ⊟
The top image comes from someone (Nephilim) who purchased Amazon’s newly listed standalone Crystal White PS Vitas, while the bottom is obviously from the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation bundle that released in 2012.
This clears up some of the confusion over how Amazon started selling “new” white PS Vitas when Sony has never announced them or sold them non-bundled in North America. It looks like the retailer is just pushing previously unsold hardware in the same unsealed white box without the game.
Whatever, it’s neat that Amazon has made it possible for people who missed out on the original bundle to buy the Crystal White handheld again, especially for our Sagittarius readers. At least one person has complained to Amazon, though, that the hardware isn’t completely new and sealed, and received a 30 percent ($60) back!
