Expanding its mobile presence, The Pokémon Company has put out a new iOS and Android app allowing fans to watch episodes of the Pokémon anime for free. The app rotates 50+ episodes each week from the series’ previous 15 seasons. It will also have movies, special features, animated shorts, and trailers.
It would be nice if there was an app as robust for 3DS owners, but since there’s not, we can at least enjoy the Valentine’s Day episode of Dinosaur Office that hit Nintendo Video yesterday.

Yep, there’s an anime based on the humiliating clothes-destroying 3DS action game Senran Kagura. I had no idea there even was an anime. And I definitely haven’t watched the episode embedded here yet, so don’t blame me when you sit through it and cringe for like 20 minutes.

All Naruto wants for Christmas…
Is a 3DS! This actually happened in an episode of Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals — it’s not like I spend my weekends photoshopping Naruto pics to make them relate to handhelds.

Nintendo DSi making a cameo in Summer Wars. I’ve not seen the film, so I don’t know why he’s plugged something into the side, around where the SD card slot should be.
Apparently the DSi is featured in the anime quite a bit!

Subtitled version of the Good People Die promotional anime clip that Chunsoft and Gonzo put out last month, translated by Vividnecromancer. While it’s not a the most accurate translation, it’s better than nothing. Make sure to turn on annotations in the video to see the text.
I swear I was looking all over for a subbed copy of this video last month, but I wasn’t able to find one until I was reminded to renew my search earlier today, after seeing Good People Die’s latest Japanese trailer, which has limited subtitles and features the bunny antagonist.

Art promoting the planned Kid Icarus: Uprising animated shorts from Production I.G., Shaft, and Studio 4℃.
Details posted by NeoGAF’s Masked Man:
The anime by Production I.G (known for such works as “Ghost in the Shell”) will feature Pit as the main character. An orthodox 3D action title mixing human artillery, Medusa’s lackeys, and Thanatos, God of Death. Scheduled for three (3) episodes.
My Twitter was all abuzz while “Madoka Magica” was on the air. Shaft’s comical mini-series sets Palutena, Goddess of Light, as the main character. Perhaps this sort of thing is their specialty. Cheerful and amusing. Scheduled for two (2) episodes.
Studio 4℃, whose art style is so full of personality (e.g. “MEMORIES,” “Animatrix”), are focusing on Medusa. They’re visually portraying her actions from the past up until her comeback. Scheduled for one (1) episode.

Above is the opening credit sequence for Spelunker Sensei/Spelunker is a Teacher, the animated film in which the easily-killed explorer from Spelunker tries to live a normal life as a teacher. Above is the opening, featuring a rock version of the Spelunker theme song with Engrish lyrics, sung by legendary Sega musician Takenobu “Daytonaaaaaaaa” Mitsuyoshi.
You must listen to it.
