Okamiden bento by AnnaTheRed. Look at that adorable sleeping Chibiterasu! He’s all red pepper, seaweed, and hanpen, and how is this possible.
Keep that cute, cute Chibiterasu image in your mind as you read my Joystiq review. It’s a positive review, but not so positive that it’ll satiate fanboys, so I’m nervous. Of course, I’m nervous when my reviews are too positive, or too negative, or too middling, or basically just when they’re on the internet.

Ouendan 2 bento by bento master Anna the Red. This delicious-looking lunch is inspired by the “Monkey Magic” level of Moeru! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii! Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2, in which a stuffed monkey and a toy soldier voyage home after escaping from a dump truck, set to a cover of the theme song to the Saiyuki anime.
I’m always a fan of Anna the Red’s bentos, but I’m especially glad I live in the same world with someone who will spend hours crafting food into the shape of characters from Ouendan 2.

Noby Noby Boy bento by Anna the Red. He’s made of sushi! How great is that?
I can’t help but think that Keita Takahashi, being a Noby Noby sushi creator himself, would approve.

Taiko no Tatsujin bento. Namco Bandai has broken new ground with these official lunches in the image of Wadadon, available from restaurants in Haneda Airport starting October 10. People who pay the 900 yen for this adorable meal will be entered in a drawing for a copy of Taiko Wii and other prizes.
Another super cute lunch creation: bento artist Anna the Red has posted her latest creation, a bento based on Gardening Mama. Despite Mama’s apparent rage, this meal looks perfectly executed to me.

Moogle pork bun by Anna the Red. Unlike her bento, which contain random assortments of fish paste, eggs, and whatever else looks good, this seems to be a reasonably edible thing.

And a Boo:

As I write this, it is too damn early for me to realistically get my hands on even a regular-shaped pork bun. In fact, I don’t even know where to go around here for that. Oh man, now I’m depressed. Where did I go wrong in life to end up where I am now, with no pork bun on my plate?

Penny Arcade Fruit Fucker bento by Anna the Red. Strangely, the lunch contains no fruit. Maybe that’s for the best. That would be kind of gross.

Tingle bento from Anna the Red. Look at the little Tingle eggs! Look at the legs! You know what? I’m going to have to zoom in on those, Cute Overload style.

Anna the Red is still the undisputed queen of gamer bento with this one, featuring an edible Prince pushing his food-katamari into anna’s boyfriend’s tummy. This tasty treat features curry (hidden inside the katamari rice ball) and tiny bits of sushi. It looks incredible — and Katamari Damacy fans should admire the attention to detail.

Raving Rabbids cookies, made by Anna the Red, using the same forms as yesterday’s bento. About the forms:
“Cookies were made by buying large circular aluminum cookie cutters and then reshaped with a pair of pliers. One for the body, one for the mouth and one for the stomach ^_^”
Wow.

Rayman Raving Rabbids bento created by anna the red, creator of the brilliant lunches previously featured. This one’s nice because not only are Rabbids cute, and the sight of a pile of them in a dish hilarious, it’s a delightfully varied meal.
Anna has started a blog in which she details the techniques involved in the construction of her bento, so you can one day make your own edible art.
For more appetizing sculptures, we recommend checking out her Cooking Mama, Bioshock, and Portal-based creations. Expect to see the last two a lot, as most gaming blogs’ primary purpose is the dissemination of Bioshock and Portal-related craft pictures.
