Bomberman as a Laputa: Castle in the Sky robot, by Sakkan (click the image for a larger version).

This tribute to Miyazaki and Hudson introduces the first story in a busy list of Japanese DSiWare news — Itsudemo Bomberman, or Bomberman Anytime, will hit Japan’s DSiWare service this October for 500 Nintendo points, according to Famitsu. Hudson hinted this new edition a month ago, so everyone saw it coming. The real mystery is will it have dinosaurs and/or kangaroos?

Just two weeks after Ketsui DS developer Arika released a new bullet hell game for DSiWare, Genterprise has revealed two shoot’em ups for its budget (200 points) G.G. series: Z.ONE, a horizontal-scrolling SHMUP featuring a Pod that fires in eight directions; and Wonder Land, a vertical-scroller themed after Alice in Wonderland.

Those two will hit Japan next week, as will Saikyoo Silver Star Go from Silver Star Japan (essentially Go), and a very strange card/board game from Nintendo titled Asoberu Ehon Mind Ten, both priced at 500 points.

Finally, Dragon Quest Wars appeared on the ESRB site, indicating a U.S. release for the simple strategy game.
