Tiny Cartridge 3DS

If you want a PS Vita, jump up on this deal immediately! Starting at 3PM ET, Amazon will have the white Vita + Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation bundle, a copy of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and a 90-day trial of PlayStation Plus (and therefore free Gravity Rush, Jet Set Radio, Uncharted, etc.) for $179.99.

Regular price for a PS Vita is STILL $250. This is the best deal until that silly MSRP changes. We should warn you that AC3: Liberation has a serious save corruption bug, but Ubisoft says a patch is on the way.

Speaking of deals, here’s a totally unrelated but still cool offer! Scribblenauts Unlimited for Wii U, which I super want to play after reading Eric’s review, is $50 ($10 off!). Oh, and don’t forget all the other Black Friday sales!

Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation looks so much like my thing. At a glance, it doesn’t seem too different from the other Assassin’s Creed games that weren’t my thing, but:

  1. This shiz is portable (PS Vita)
  2. I really like that Ubisoft went with a non-traditional heroine, Aveline de Grandpré, the daughter of a French merchant and an African placée bride

These GIFs (resized from these awesome images) come from the developer diary video Ubisoft put out today.

We don’t often talk about Assassin’s Creed, and I’ve never played one to be honest. But I love watching playthroughs posted online, and the idea of playing a female African-French assassin in late 18th century New Orleans sounds like where it’s at. Plus, it’s all put together by Ubisoft Sofia (Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars). This hits on October 30, alongside a new white PS Vita model.

That all said, I can’t believe that Sony had hardly anything to talk about with PS Vita last night. This was its opportunity to reassure PS Vita owners that it had a flood of high-quality games coming to the struggling portable…
