I’ve heard almost nothing but good things about Radiant Historia — except in regards to its availability. Luckily, Atlus announced this weekend that it’s undertaking a second print run, to be released in “late March.”
The company specifically identifies Amazon, Amazon.ca, and EBGames.ca as stores that will carry the new stock. Said new stock, by the way, will not include the soundtrack CD bundled with the first printing.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2’s new English trailer — “7 invaders… 7 days… Survive or die.” I’m not sure who’s going to pick “die” out of those two options, but it’s nice to know Atlus is giving players options for how they want to proceed in this SRPG.

“When a website that shows its guests others’ deaths before they come to pass becomes all the rage, a group of curious teens is forced to ask each other: How will you die?”
I don’t think I can imagine a site like that becoming “all the rage”, like the next Twitter or Silly Bandz or what have you — not because of how morbid or frightening the idea is; mostly because people hate reading spoilers.

If you’re interested in checking out this Nintendo DS sequel, it’s probably a good idea to pre-order it or get it right away. Devil Survivor Overclocked appears to be in short supply, like Atlus games of old. Remember not being able to buy Trauma Center? Fun… times…

SMT: Devil Survivor The OC out of stock/heavily marked up at online retailers. Speaking of limited print runs from Atlus, several major online shops are already back-ordered on this 3DS remake less than a month after its launch.
You could probably still pick this up if you scour your local GameStops hard enough, but if you’re unable to find a copy online for a while, don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Atlus’ time-travelling RPG Radiant Historia, a DS game I haven’t seen discounted much (which I’m presuming is due to another one of the publisher’s infamous limited print runs), is the Amazon deal of the day today, priced at $24.50. If you can find something else to throw in that order, shipping is free! No soundtrack CD, though.

Belberith, one of the supremely weird demons in SMT: Devil Survivor (and Overclocked). There is some weird business going on in this game. Like, the kind of business with spider legs, a purple wing, and a bunch of heads.
Apparently, this powerful enemy has absorbed a number of other evil demons. And a frog, for giggles.

Along with remastered art, full voice acting, and selectable difficulty modes, this enhanced port features a new 8th Day chapter at the end of the game, designed to be “a rousing epilogue for Shin Megami Tensei fans”.
The 8th Day story varies based on which ending you get, so there’s an extra incentive to go through Overclocked several times with the New Games Plus mode. Atlus’ Nich Maragos notes, “Each 8th day is at least as long as a normal game day and has as much story content.”

“Let’s Survive” by Dust Cloud, dope fanart of SMT: Devil Survivor 2’s protagonist (click for a larger version).
Though Devil Survivor 2 doesn’t come out in the U.S. until next year (it released in Japan last month), its revamped predecessor, Devil Survivor Overclocked, hits stores this week — it’s the 3DS’s first JRPG in the States!
In the NeoGAF thread for the game, Atlus’ Nich Maragos hints that Devil Survivor: The OC is receiving a limited print run (not surprising, considering the minimal promotions for the game), so this might not be the kind of game you put off buying for a few months. Then again, it’s not like there’s much else to play on your 3DS…

They looks essentially the same as the Auction and Fusion features in the original, non OC version, but it seems like a lot of people passed on the DS release, so it’s worth reviewing them again.
Can you believe that this hits stores next week? It’s about time the 3DS got an RPG in the U.S. (even if it is just a remake of a DS game that released three years ago).

Though I guess they’ll be busy playing Devil Survivor 2 after that hits later this month.
Atlus also put out this trailer today to show off the game’s systems and voice acting — “so, you’re saying that we have to get demons so we can fight even more demons?”
Or, as Puff Daddy would put it, “Tell your demons, to get with my demons… And we can be demons. Shit, we can do this every weekend, aight? Is that aight with you?”
“Yeah… Keep bangin’.”
