Love Press++: Massage For Your Truelove, a real project using a Wii Balance Board and “massage recognition” to simulate the “physical communication of lovers”.
As easy as it is to dismiss this game as “hur hur nerds touching virtual girls’ naughty bits”, Love Press++ looks to take a different approach from the shallow “touch/turning on” features traditionally featured in DS dating sims like Love Plus+, emphasizing the physical communication between a couple without focusing on sexual portrayals.
From what I can tell, the game uses simple silhouettes to display virtual partners, but players can decorate the balance board with a silicon sleeve/image of a female’s back. Players choose a digital “truelove” (with different shapes and ages), massage their paramour, and adapt their techniques based on audio cues (e.g. “I believe you are gentle”, “Stop! Where are you touching?”).
Shirai Lab’s Minori Yokota will present Love Press++ at Sense of Wonder Night 2010 — an annual event spotlighting innovative and unconventional indie projects from around the world.

I’ve seen a lot of these CubeDudes around lately, mostly Angus MacLane’s work, but few of the Lego Figures match Import’s Goemon masterpiece, which I would proudly display on my bookshelf. That’s saying a lot considering I’ve so far managed to keep my office toy-free, with the exception of my Maxwell Box Boy.

This is the most dramatic trailer ever for a little piece of plastic that makes your Wii Balance Board slightly taller.
I showed Eric the trailer earlier, and here’s an excerpt from our conversation:
tags / riiser / balance board / wii / jcEric: You don’t see companies that sell stuff at Bed Bath & Beyond making epic trailers for their plastic bed riser cones.
Eric: People in their pajamas climbing into their bed to trance music…
Eric: The wife, with a sleep mask on her forehead, reaching over to the bedside table in slo-mo as she sets the alarm clock…
JC: Slow pan down the side of the bed, to reveal —
JC: TINY PEOPLE RAVE
