Before you complain that your favorite, unloved portable console aren’t shown, I’ll name a few obvious omissions: N-Gage, TurboExpress, GP32, Zodiac, PSP, and Game.com.

What about Nintendo’s handhelds, you ask? Well, they get enough attention here and elsewhere, but the reason they weren’t included in this illustration is that the piece was inspired by Arnold Flöck’s similar tribute:

No, you’re not any cooler for noticing that the Game Boy Color, Virtual Boy, and Game & Watch are missing from the artwork. Quite the opposite, actually.
