Soooo what if I told you that you could get all six Bit.Trip games for $15 – and then, like, you could carry them around with you. That is exactly what is going on at this link, because Amazon has discounted Bit.Trip Saga to $14.99.

Bit.Trip Complete for Wii, which includes a soundtrack sampler, is just $20, which is still way cheaper than buying all six games on WiiWare.

[Sponsored] Tiny Q&A: Gaijin’s Alex Neuse on completing Bit.Trip’s saga

Bit.Trip Complete and Bit.Trip Saga, the Wii and 3DS compilations of Gaijin Games’ rhythm/action WiiWare series, both release this week! (Our fanart contest ends tonight, too, so get your submissions in!)

We talked with Gaijin CEO and creative director Alex Neuse about the two anthologies and covered a bunch of topics that CommanderVideo fans will eat up: Bit.Trip’s past and future, details on Saga’s new control schemes, thoughts on the 3DS Expansion Slide Pad, and advice on which version you should buy — all after the break:

[Sponsored] Bit.Trip Complete’s ‘Evil, Evil Challenges’ trailer. Hey, that’s Gaijin Games’ Alex Neuse, and he’s previewing one of this compilation’s challenges for the first time, here on Tiny Cartridge. Eat it, buddy!

Gaijin has packed so much new and exclusive stuff into Complete — as if the six addictive rhythm-action titles weren’t enough —  including 120 “galactically difficult” Challenges you won’t find anywhere else.

The studio hasn’t talked much about those Challenges yet, though, so we had Neuse demonstrate one, and give us a peek at a Challenge from each of the included games:

  • BEAT - Gremlin - One beat. 50+ bounces.
  • CORE - Insector Gadget - These beats move like insects. Watch them as they enter the playfield to ensure accurate timing.
  • VOID - Mirror Mirror - As if keeping black and white beats straight wasn’t difficult enough, try to do it while they move with a mind of their own. Or do they…
  • RUNNER - Tramampoline - There is very little floor in this level. Bounce on the Lesser Timbletots to make it to the end.
  • FATE - Lava Burton - Can you beat the heat in this avoidance challenge?
  • FLUX - Guardian Angle - A nefarious barrage of beats that come at your paddle in unexpected and strange angles.

Excellent! Also excellent: our Bit.Trip fanart contest — we’re giving away copies of Bit.Trip Saga and Complete. It ends September 14, so send in your entries soon!

Bit.Trip Saga / Complete fanart contest!

Are you convinced that you need to own a copy of Bit.Trip Complete (Wii) after seeing yesterday’s poignant trailer? Or maybe the promise of portability in the 3DS release has you committed to Bit.Trip Saga? Both versions have their advantages — if only there was a way to acquire both without spending too much cash.

Well, as usual, we have the answer to all your problems*. We have partnered with our sponsor Aksys to hold a fanart competition, and will be giving two winners copies of both Bit.Trip Saga and Complete. Details after the break!

[Sponsored] Affecting trailer for Bit.Trip Complete — the first video released for the Wii collection actually, and it’s making its debut here on our humble site!

Even though CommanderVideo’s journey ended months ago with the release of Bit.Trip Flux, it’s still difficult to believe it’s all over. Complete extends his quest a bit longer with 120 new challenges, new difficulty modes, music remixes/demos, and more. And it just got a super positive review from Nintendo Power, too.

Both Bit.Trip Complete and Bit.Trip Saga (for 3DS) contain all six games from the Bit.Trip WiiWare series, and are scheduled to release on September 13.

Triumph - Gaijin Games

Triumph

Gaijin Games • Bit.Trip Soundtrack Sampler

[Sponsored] “Triumph” from Bit.Trip Runner. Like the other chiptune-inspired tracks from the Bit.Trip series, this takes a minute to pick up but is a gem once it gets going.

This is one of the 18 songs, three from each of the series’ games, featured in the free Soundtrack Sampler CD included with Bit.Trip Saga (3DS) copies preordered online from GameStop, and with every copy of Bit.Trip Complete (Wii) — both ship on September 13.

Bit.Trip Saga/Complete’s Sampler tracklisting:

And just in case you forgot, in addition to the original songs Gaijin Games composed for its Bit.Trip releases, each of the titles collected in the anthology have tunes from chiptune greats like Bit Shifter, Nullsleep, Anamanaguchi, Bubblyfish, and Minusbaby.

It totally blows my mind that there will be a 3DS game with Anamanaguchi and Minusbaby tracks!

[Sponsored] Bit.Trip Saga teaser: All six games in 3D.

We’re less than a month away from the launch of Bit.Trip Saga — the handheld anthology collecting Bit.Trip Beat, Core, Void, Runner, Fate, and Flux, all presented with 3D stages designed to “defy spatial perception”.

Releasing on the same day, September 13, is Bit.Trip Complete (complementary teaser trailer here), a Wii Disc collection of the six WiiWare titles, adding 120 new challenges, fan remixes and original songs, 25+ movies telling CommanderVideo’s story, new difficulty modes, online leaderboards, and more.

We plan to examine many of the bits that make up Bit.Trip Saga/Complete in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for exclusive media, a contest, etc. from Aksys/Gaijin Games!

If you’re weighing the decision between Bit.Trip Saga on 3DS and Bit.Trip Complete on Wii (that is, if you’re not in the “dammit I’m buying both” or “dammit I’m buying both even though I have them on WiiWare, PC, and iPhone HELP ME” groups), this offer might help. GameStop is throwing in a “Soundtrack Sampler” of the series’ excellent, excellent music with online orders of the 3DS game.

Which excellent music, from which games? No idea! It might be the guest tracks from Bit.Shifter, Minusbaby, Anamanaguchi, et al., or it might be the rad in-game music. Of course, Bit.Trip Complete also comes with a soundtrack disc, regardless of where you buy it from, so, uh, disregard that bit about this helping your decision any.
