The big news this morning, other than Zombie Panic in Wonderland finally releasing on WiiWare, is that Nintendo will finally bring the Black Wii model to the States next week (rumor has it Canada will get it May 23rd).
With the new color hardware’s release, Nintendo updated its $199 Wii system bundles to include a Wii MotionPlus accessory and a copy of Wii Sports Resort (in addition to the traditional Wii Sports pack-in). So, if you don’t own a Wii yet, here’s a great deal for you!
If you want that Black Classic Controller Pro in the photo above, though, you need to buy it separately for $19.99 or with the Monster Hunter Tri bundle.

White and Pink Nintendo DSi systems, Black Wii Remote (but not the system) announced for North America.
The White and Pink handhelds will hit stores on September 13th for $169, while the Black Wii Remote bundle will release with a matching Wii MotionPlus and jacket this holiday season.
Oh, and Nintendo of America plans to put out a Wii Fit Plus disc “for people who currently own Wii Fit and want to add the expanded options to their fitness regimen” on October 4th for $19.99. The company will also offer an option to buy the game with a Wii Balance Board for $99.99, replacing the current Wii Fit bundle at stores.

This is a great shot of the new color model and the controllers, but who leaves their television just sitting on the floor like that, vulnerable to rowdy cats and improptu indoor soccer matches? Even this guy knows better.

Black Wii, newly announced for Japanese release.
Nintendo is finally manufacturing Wii with an alternative color, but will it be enough to save struggling hardware sales in Japan? You can see photos of the console’s black Wii Remote, Nunchuk, rubber jacket, and Classic Controller Pro by clicking the above image.
The company also unveiled a new color for Nintendo DSi — Red. This system debuts much sooner in Japan, July 11th. Now the country has six editions of the handheld — White, Black, Pink, Lime Green, Metallic Blue, and Red.
[Update: I forgot to mention this, but the Black Wii will debut alongside Monster Hunter Tri’s release, while the Red DSi accompanies Dragon Quest IX’s debut.]

Nintendo did not disclose any details regarding a U.S. release for either colored consoles.
