The next time you’re tempted to complain about Club Nintendo U.S.’s lackluster selection or its unsatisfactory Platinum rewards, remember that this incentive program isn’t about hoarding exclusive junk or acquiring game tchotchkes that don’t really add anything to anyone’s life. It’s about making Nintendo Game Players feel more pleasure.
I wonder if Nintendo had a similar slogan for its love hotels that former president Hiroshi Yamauchi set up in the 1960s? (They didn’t. This is an awful joke.)
