Persona Q's premium edition coming to North America ⊟
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, the Etrian Odyssey-esque dungeon crawler that mashes characters from the Persona 3 and 4 universes, will release in North America with a $79.99 “The Wild Cards Premium Edition” that includes the 3DS game, tarot cards, an art booklet, a soundtrack CD, and a 3DS XL hard case, along with a special box to house all of that.
The standard edition of the game will be priced at $49.99 (reminiscent of Shin Megami Tensei IV's premium pricing). This “first run” will include the tarot cards and special packaging.
These cards are just half of a set, the other half being included in copies of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The Persona Q batches will include Tarot Cards of Arcanas XI - XXI.

What’s the deal with special edition 3DSes lately? ⊟
It looks like the Mickey 3DS XL that’s coming to Walmart in two weeks, priced at $199, doesn’t include a copy of Disney Magical World, despite releasing on the same day as the game and bearing its name on the lid.
It’s understandable that the GameStop-exclusive Peach Pink 2DS won’t come with the game either, as it’s not explicitly linked to the title even though it comes with a branded Disney Magical World case. But last month’s Yoshi 3DS XL didn’t include Yoshi’s New Island either? Is this the new deal with limited edition hardware releases?

New Theathrythm's box, 3DS XL bundle preorder ⊟
Not a bad cover for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call! It’s the same design as what’s on the special edition 3DSL XL for Japan, except with more cover. That hardware bundle, by the way, is now available to preorder from Play-Asia for $413.99. Importing a system is really expensive! Still, I know some of you were considering taking the plunge with this kit.
Persona Q's 3DS XL, subbed trailers ⊟
We don’t have a photo of it yet, but we now know that Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth will have a special edition 3DS XL system and bundle when it hits Japan on June 5. All first-run copies of the game will also include a Persona Q: Sound of the Labyrinth arrange album from the Atlus Sound Team.
Atlus released two full-length (instead of the usual character-focused) trailers for the game today, which we have subtitled for you thanks to Pepsiman. First up, here’s the trailer for the Persona 4 group:
PS Vita Slim hits U.S. with Borderlands bundle ⊟
Already available in Japan and the UK, the new PS Vita model (PCH-2000) will make it to North America this spring as part of a $199 Borderlands 2 bundle. Available only in black, the handheld is 20 percent slimmer and 15 percent lighter than the original model. It also features an LCD screen instead of the much-fawned-over OLED display, 1GB of internal memory, and about an hour more of battery life. The bundle will include the port of Borderlands 2 with six DLC packs, as well as an 8GB memory card.
Lots of PS Vita news today:
- Here’s an image gallery of the Borderlands 2 bundle
- God of War Collection coming out May 9 for $29.99
- Sly Cooper Collection his May 27
- Aksys releasing BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma this summer
- That free-to-play Badman game that released in Japan is coming out here this spring as No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either
- Invizimals: The Alliance coming to North America in 2014
- Ovosonico’s Murasaki Baby coming this year, too
Special edition Theatrhythm: Curtain Call 3DS XL ⊟
Oh, that is nice. This is part of a limited edition bundle that will release with the game in Japan on April 24. Still no plans for a Western release announced, though a trademark filing for the game did pop up in Europe.
Amazon’s Crystal White PS Vitas likely repackaged from AC3: Liberation bundles ⊟
The top image comes from someone (Nephilim) who purchased Amazon’s newly listed standalone Crystal White PS Vitas, while the bottom is obviously from the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation bundle that released in 2012.
This clears up some of the confusion over how Amazon started selling “new” white PS Vitas when Sony has never announced them or sold them non-bundled in North America. It looks like the retailer is just pushing previously unsold hardware in the same unsealed white box without the game.
Whatever, it’s neat that Amazon has made it possible for people who missed out on the original bundle to buy the Crystal White handheld again, especially for our Sagittarius readers. At least one person has complained to Amazon, though, that the hardware isn’t completely new and sealed, and received a 30 percent ($60) back!

This Wal-Mart deal doesn’t quite match the awesomeness of Target’s identically priced Zelda 3DS XL bundle a few weeks ago, but at least this one won’t end with someone stealing your credit card info (maybe).
The online sale includes the limited edition silver 3DS XL, a digital copy of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team installed, a 4GB SD card, and free shipping. Speaking of game deals from the brothers Mario, here are some on Amazon:
- Paper Mario: Sticker Star - $21.98
- New Super Mario Bros. 2 - $29.99
- Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon - $30.74
If you want Mario Party: Island Tour, that’s also discounted to $33.61.
Apparently it’s Cyber Monday of Luigi ⊟
That’s according to a press release Nintendo sent out for the limited edition Mario & Luigi: Dream Team 3DS XL bundle, which comes out today ($199.99, though Best Buy has it for $20 cheaper, and Walmart is selling it with two free 3DS games). Images above are via Favocado.
I am told that “Cyber Monday of Luigi” is not what I think it is, so instead of sharing the gigs of salacious Luigi pics I’ve saved over the years, I’ll just list the notable online sales we’re seeing for games today:
Nintendo 3DS XL Red (Overstock) - $139.99
- 3DS XL Red or Blue with StarFox 64 3D (Toys R Us) - $169.99
- Paper Mario: Sticker Star (Walmart) - $9.99
- Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate (3DS and PS Vita) - $24.99
- Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition (Wii U) - $8.50
- PS Vita Walking Dead system bundle (includes Sly Cooper, Retro City Rampage, and Uncharted) - $179.99
PS Vita 16GB memory card - $19.99
- Killzone: Mercenary - $19.99
- Persona 4 Golden - $19.99
- Dragon’s Crown - $29.99
- Tearaway - $29.99
- LittleBigPlanet, Unit 13, Resistance: Burning Skies, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and Gravity Rush - $9.99 each
- Kingdom Hearts 1.5HD Remix (PlayStation 3) - $19.99
Instead of putting up a bunch of sales posts, I’ll try to add new deals to this one. You can also follow us on Twitter for updates on new discounts, or if you want to send us dirty Cyber Monday of Luigi tweets.
New LovePlus+ boxart and 3DS XL ⊟
I almost forgot that Konami announced another one of these updated games for the dating sim series. I always find the odd text on the packaging for these releases amusing: “We travel 365 days a year. Laughing in the rain, holding your hand under the sun. Our journey has just begun… LOVEPLUS”
No surprise that there will be three limited edition 3DS XLs for each of the game’s love interests, which Konami seems to do with each update. When these hit Japan next spring, each ¥32,000 ($320) set will include “the game, a 40-page visual & creation book, an illustration sheet with drawings of the lady in question, and a binaural CD with ten minutes of her engaging in intimate conversation with you,” according to Crunchyroll.
Hints of Zelda 3DS XL bundle coming to the U.S. ⊟
That gold, limited edition Zelda 3DS XL bound for Europe could also make its way to the States, if this purported GameStop circular for Black Friday is to be trusted. Apparently there’s also a Luigi’s Mansion 3DS bundle on the way, too.
The limited edition Zelda DS Lites and 3DSes released around Black Friday, so it’s no surprise if this one does too!
Gold, limited edition The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL bundle releasing in Europe next month ⊟
This releases on November 22 for £199.99 ($319), and comes with a downloadable copy of the game. Retail copies of the game in Europe, by the way, have a reversible cover with the all-gold/U.S. art and a full-color version.
If this isn’t enough proof (along with the Fire Emblem 3DS XL bundle and the Chotto Mario handhelds) that Europe is winning the special edition systems war as far as Western territories go, Nintendo also intends to release the amazing Year of Luigi 3DS XL there on November 1 for £179.99 ($287).
I’m 98 percent sure Nintendo will bring the Zelda 3DS XL at least to the U.S. around Black Friday, just like it did with the Zelda 3DSes and DS Lites.
