I know most of you are already digging deep in your pockets to pay for a 3DS and its pricey launch games, but if for some reason you want to buy a limited edition DSi with Pokémon Black and White three weeks before the new portable hits, Amazon is taking preorders for the bundle.

The bundles include a Black or White Nintendo DSi etched with a Reshiram or Zekrom design, a matching carrying case, and a copy of the game — all for $179.99!

Or you can just get forget the bundle and get Pokemon Black or White for only $34.99, and score a $5 promotional credit from Amazon. Both the games and bundles will hit stores on March 6.

Gorgeous Zelda / Nintendo 3DS bundle concept by wasa-bi-redux (definitely click for the larger image).
If Nintendo released a 3DS bundle for The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, which it likely won’t since the game will ship not too long after the system’s debut, this is exactly what I’d want it to look like. I really wish the silver/gray color was a launch option!
The artist’s inclusion of Link’s Awakening DX (coming to the eShop’s Virtual Console service) is a nice touch. You’ll note however, that he marked this as a Japanese release, meaning that if you imported this hypothetical bundle, you wouldn’t be able to play Western 3DS games on it!
Wasa-bi-redux has some other neat mock-ups:
Pikmin Trilogy boxart, full packaging
Luigi’s Mansion - “Take a Ride” render
The Legend of Zelda Online Wii box
The Legend of Zelda: Shadow Of The Colossus mash-up and Wii boxart
That Ocarina of Time bundle stands out from the bunch, though. It kills me that it’s not for this world.
Preorder: Nintendo 3DS (March 27, $249.99)

Limited edition Green and Orange DSi bundles with Mario Party DS, debuting in the U.S. this Friday for $149.99 (click for a larger image). The lime green color was previously limited to Japanese XLs, and I believe the orange model is a first for the handheld in any region!
Neither are as nice as the Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary DSi XL, but if you don’t care for the bigger screen size and would rather own Mario Party DS than an extra copy of Mario Kart DS, here’s your chance to get something nice for yourself in Green or Orange. I expect Amazon to begin offering the new bundles soon.

Buy: Special Edition Red Nintendo DSi XL bundle, Nintendo DSi XL (Blue, Burgundy, & Bronze), Standard Nintendo DSi (White, Pink, Black, & Blue)

If you’ve waited for a slight price cut to pick up Monster Hunter Tri, here’s a deal worth checking out: a copy of the game with a black Classic Controller Pro for $39.99 (controller usually sells for $19.99) and free shipping. Just make sure you select “Classic Controller Bundle” in the dropdown menu here.

For those who want just the game, if you have a Best Buy Reward Zone card, you can grab Monster Hunter Tri in-store for $29.99 with this coupon (offer ends today).

I neglected to mention it yesterday, but along with the DSi and DSi XL system price cuts, Amazon has also marked down its Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story DSi bundle (select the bundle in the dropdown menu) to $149.99 — not bad for a White DSi and one of the system’s best RPGs.

Also, I wanted to feature this awesome mock-up logo of Mario & Luigi RPG 4, which isn’t a real game but should be. Maybe the plot could explain Waluigi’s Soul Man-esque transformation in the image above.

A Scribblenauts box set, as imagined by VGBoxArt user Periwinkle.
I love how optimistic this box is: not only is Scribblenauts a Touch Generations title and recipient of a special-edition DS (the only third-party title to be given this treatment so far being Guitar Hero), it’s also published by 5TH Cell itself. I also love the Starite stylus!
If I were to design a special-edition Scribblenauts DS system, I think I would put a Post-it dispenser or a dry-erase area on it.

The second special-edition DSi bundle is also coming from Square Enix. In addition to the Kingdom Hearts: Tetsuya Nomura’s Self-Insert Disney Fanfic DS bundle, the company has now announced a special hardware package for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. This one is coming out January 29, so technically it will be the first DSi bundle.

The bundle contains the game and a white DSi with the same cat artwork found in the logo above. A Crystal Chronicles soundtrack sampler will also be available as a preorder bonus with the game or bundle.

The best part of this story is that it gave me a use for that ridiculous Echoes of Time wallpaper, or at least the logo part.
