Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion footage. IGN offers the first videos of the licensed 3DS/Wii/Xbox/PS3 fighting game (the 3DS version is shown), which was first announced back in October.
From what I can tell, it’s an openly Smash Bros.-style fighter with Cartoon Network characters. Which sounds… pretty boss! I’m not saying it will be — there’s not too much to be super confident about with a licensed handheld launch window game — but it sounds neat. Too bad there’s no Adventure Time representation so far (or if it turns out to be butt, thank the heavens Adventure Time was left unsullied!).

Before you start celebrating, these aren’t for a project already in development. Ward posted these doodles recently with an idle note: “I just thought of a good Nintendo DS game.. All by myself.. Thinking about.. How fighting could work in the Adventure Time game.. “
Who knows, maybe some ambitious developer will turn this into a real thing for the Nintendo 3DS? OMG, can you imagine it, Lumpy Space Princess in stereoscopic 3D?!

Papercraft for Beemo, that adorable and portable video game console you’ll often see pop up in Adventure Time. It can walk around! It can even talk! And it also plays funky titles like Adventure Masters (with Bit.Trip-esque graphics and dueling Abraham Lincolns) and Bug Battle.
Did you see last Monday’s new half-episode, in which Donny (the jerk) breaks one of Beemo’s controllers? Man, I was pissed. Let’s see how long this clip stays up:
In the video, you’ll hear that Beemo has a Korean female’s voice (likely the same voice actress as Lady Rainicorn); knowing it’s a Korean handheld somehow makes the made-up console even more interesting! I wonder if she’s related to Tiny at all? He’s mentioned to us before that he’d love to visit Korea one day…
Oh yeah, you can download a template for the Beemo papercraft designed by Bryan Green at this link.

Though the announcer here sounds Australian, I think this commercial is for Cartoon Network Philippines. Perhaps the channel’s using a dub made for Western markets because it’s cheaper than recording a Tagalog version? If the Philippines receives a localization for one of the Inazuma Eleven RPG/soccer DS games before the States, I will be all kinds of agitated.
I’m unsure if anyone plans to start airing this in the U.S. (“animation” is mentioned in Level-5’s Inazuma Eleven trademark filing), but apparently it’s already available in Spain. Check out the dubbed Spanish version here; it sounds way better than the English edition, IMO.

Video game console featured in tonight’s Adventure Time episode. It has a wired controller, but the directional pad, buttons, speaker holes, and battery cover (not shown in this shot) suggest you can play it as a handheld if you want? It has arms and legs, too, so who knows what else it can do?! And what does BM stand for?
When this image first appeared on the Cartoon Network show, I thought, “Holy crap, is that a Bit.Trip game?” Closer inspection, though, revealed it’s some kind of fighting title, starring what looks like dueling Abraham Lincolns. While there’s a two-player mode, Jake and Finn take turns with the single-player campaign. I believe the game is called Adventure Masters.
Six and a half minutes into this “Business Time” episode, you can actually hear some music from the game. Adventure Masters has a pretty wicked soundtrack!
[Update: The handheld’s name is Beemo! Apparently, he appears a number of times in the show. Here’s artwork of Beemo with his face and waving hello to you!]

Mooninites invade a Nintendo DSi, armed with a boombox. I usually advise against attaching stickers onto your handheld, especially after seeing Daphaknee’s irreparable DS, but Thretris’ personalized Matte Blue system looks slick — even if the Mooninites are so 2002.
Unfortunately, this suffer the common defect of appearing upside down when you flip the lid open. The stickers look vinyl, though, so it’s easily fixable with some rearranging.
