Fantastic Animal Crossing 2DS case ⊟

You don’t see many outstanding Nintendo 2DS cases, so I’m happy to feature this one from Beandog Labs. Look at all those pockets for your tiny cartridges!

This line of 2DS/3DS/XL/Vita custom cases can get a little expensive with prices starting at $50 (Beandog also has sells cheaper pouches), but it includes a microsuede interior to make sure your systems are scratch-free, hidden magnetic closures on the corners, a small ring on the side for charms, your choice of art featured on the design, and the option to have your name or other text printed on the inside.

Check out Beandog Labs’s etsy shop here, and follow its Tumblr here.

Clear Famicom case for your 3DS XL ⊟

Catering to our obsessions with making video game systems we play look like another video game we used to play, Datel will produce this neat protective shell for 3DS XLs. It goes well with this case, too.

NintendoTweet points out that this releases in Japan in late June for ¥1,490, or around $14.50.

Before the 3DS Game Card Case… ⊟
We carried our portable games around like this. Or we just left those plastic cartridges loose in our bags. How did you carry yours around?
It’s rad that we can now fit 18 3DS games in a slightly larger space than what we’d need to hold four Game Boy cartridges back in the day. Props to Kombat Kat for the pic.

Animal Crossing 3DS XL pouches on Club Nintendo ⊟

You can get either a Light Blue or a Pink Animal Crossing-themed 3DS XL pouch from Club Nintendo for 500 Coins. That’s a lot of points. Not as much as the Super Mario Accessory Box, though, which will set you back 700 U.S. Coins.

Or you can spend your coins to buy Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters (Game Boy), Number Battle (DSiWare), Yoshi (NES), or Bonsai Barber (WiiWare) from the eShop. That last game is a really strange but curious release developed by Zoonami and Martin Hollis — you know, the director behind Rare’s GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark!

Still want this Bravely Default 3DS XL case ⊟
Much like Bravely Default's collector's edition, these cases are no longer available on Amazon, and I'm very sad about this all. At least it looks like there are a couple of them on eBay.
Lots of Bravely Default posts popped up on gaming sites today, which is a good thing since a lot of you who ordered the game online are still waiting for it to arrive (hopefully this doesn’t happen to your order — or this nightmare scenario). Here are some of those links:

Joystiq made one of those too

Bravely Default 3DS XL cases, preorders open ⊟

I was checking to see if Amazon had Bravely Default available to preorder yet, and indeed the site has finally added the 3DS JRPG. You can reserve the Collector’s Edition (includes the game, an art book, a soundtrack CD, and 34 AR cards) now too for $49.99, which is actually $5 cheaper than what GameStop is asking for.

While rummaging the site for those links, I also spotted these neat 3DS XL cases, which are available for $11 before third-party shipping. AFter reading Simon Parkin’s review for Bravely Default, I really can’t wait until this comes out here (February 7)!

Turn your 3DS into Sailor Mercury’s Super Computer ⊟

Part cosplay accessory, part 3DS accessory, this case by Lightning and Lace turns an Aqua 3DS into a pretty great facsimile of Sailor Mercury’s Super Computer, which she uses “to analyze enemies and other objects upon which data is needed, enabling her to find weak points in her enemies.” I’m sure it would look cool on other colors of 3DS too, but not as seamless.

Pre-orders for the $22 case end November 15. A 3DS XL version is also in the works. Via @ferretparty.

Custom Ace Attorney 3DS XL cases ⊟

Another slick production from Tony Sarkees, an actual attorney! I wonder if many lawyers have played Capcom’s series, like, “Finally, a game about my life.”

It doesn’t look like Tony is selling these custom cases anymore, but at least we can still admire them here (make sure to also check out his Earthbound/Mother and Tiny shells!).
