Remade boxart from a recent NES Cover Art Jam. The new Double Dragon II and Iron Sword pieces actually surpass the originals (though I’m sure Fabio fans will disagree)!
List of artists (by order in the slideshow):
This re-illustrated Crystalis cover by Lamar Abrams wasn’t part of the jam but definitely merits mentioning.

My favorite moment in the interview is when the subject of the VRC6 chip (that made the Famicom Castlevania III music so cool) came up, Maezawa interjects “I made!” How many interviewers would have thought to bring that up (not many), and how many Konami composers would have been able to respond in such a way (pretty much just the one!) For your convenience, here is all of Retronauts’ Maezawa material:
Comparison of samples from PAL/US and Japanese music for Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. It… certainly would have been cool to get the Famicom Disk System version on the Virtual Console yesterday, but oh well.
Part of the ESRB’s content description of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, just added to their database. Castlevania III could finally be on the way to the Virtual Console in North America.
It’ll be nice to have a game on the Wii in which Grant Danasty doesn’t look like this.
