Image used in Cyber Gadget’s page for its Wii Code Freak cheat device. This Mario -inspired image features a giant, superpowered — and inexplicably pixelated — Code Freak mascot busting up a Mario stage like the giant Mario in New Super Mario Bros. on DS.
I think there was a … green teddy bear monster in the pipe? I think the player character has … a sparkling meat item?
Cyber Gadget is a weird company.

Karen’s Puzzle, a bafflingly random iPhone app by accessory maker Cyber Gadget. Karen is a spokesmodel of sorts for Cyber Gadget, a company best known (to us) for its Gachapin accessories and the Familator.
The app consists mainly of slide puzzles featuring Karen playing a DS with a Code Freak cheat device attached. Completing a puzzle unlocks that photo in a gallery, and you can watch Code Freak commercials.
If you love slide puzzles and being advertised to, you can get the app here.

The DS is basically exempt from both of those conditions, so a cover isn’t really necessary. But neither was a NES cartridge adapter for the DS, and Cyber Gadget solved that nonexistent problem.
The Cyber Assist Coin fits on top of the DS Lite or DSi d-pad, and hangs from a strap when not in use. It’ll be out in July, though I’m not sure if import retailers will rush to carry it.

Upcoming Gachapin and Mukku DSi “semi-hard cases” from Cyber Gadget. Like the last Gachapin cases we featured, these will be released in Japan this June. Also on the way: new styli!

If I ever make it to Japan, I’ll probably come back laden with ridiculous Gachapin DS accessories.

Gachapin and Mukku DSi cases, coming in June from Cyber Gadget. These are among my favorite Gachapin DS accessories, because of two wonderful details:
Cyber Gadget is also releasing these DS game cases, which, Eric pointed out to me, look like Gachapin or Mukku is looking at your games when open! Fantastic!

The Cyber Privacy Filter i from Cyber Gadget. More than just a screen protector, these covers make your screens harder to see from the sides, like many cell phone screen covers do. This sort of makes sense in Japan, where a lot of DS use takes place on crowded trains, but only sort of: who cares if someone sees your DS game? I guess it would be good if you wanted to play Animal Crossing in Missouri.
Unfortunately, this post isn’t really going to be that helpful. I couldn’t find anywhere to buy this thing! YesAsia has the DS Lite version, so it may carry the DSi cover in the future.
[All week, we’re featuring accessories for the Nintendo DSi. You can read more about the clever and sometimes absurd DSi accessories we’ve featured here.]

The PSP joins the DS (full DS collection here) in being blessed with a collection of Gachapin x Mukku accessories. I’m partial to these UMD cases, but the silicone PSP covers and soft cases are great too!
