“Wag Wag Babies” Game Pouches for 3DS, by Cyber Gadget. These characters are apparently from the anime anthology series World Masterpiece Theater, but whatever. These are toooo cute. They have stripey tail zipper pulls.

The Vita accessory rush begins with Cyber Gadget →

Cyber Gadget has posted its first PS Vita offerings, including a “semi-hard case” in multiple colors, and eight different varieties of screen cover (in different finishes and textures), including some that cover the whole front of the unit.

Other protection options include a transparent plastic “front cover,” and a silicone jacket. Perhaps most interesting is the case (above) designed to hold up to eight Vita cards, and a couple of external memory cards.

Cyber Slide Pad Cover for 3DS by Cyber Gadget. This is a set of soft plastic covers to give your 3DS slide pad different, presumably grippier textures. The covers range from nubbly, to nubbly-with-smaller-nubblies, to an imitation of the PSP controller, to ridged. The set even comes with a case that attaches to the 3DS via strap.

I haven’t really had a slipperiness issue with the 3DS, but who knows? Maybe it would be nice to have some different textures going on under my thumb.

3DS accessories by Cyber Gadget. The Japanese peripheral company announced a shitload of 3DS accessories, all launching on the Japanese 3DS release date, February 26.

Some of the neater ones include a battery pack that lets you boost the 3DS’s life with a couple of AAs; a USB-based charger that includes adapters for DSi LL, DSi, and PSP; and no fewer than five different varieties of screen cover, each with a different “finish.”

You can see the more visually interesting of the accessories in our gallery up there, and click the links here to see all of them — most come in multiple, 3DS-coordinated colors.

Furifuri x Gachapin-Mukku Multi Game Pouch by Cyber Gadget. This DS/PSP case combines a pixelated Gachapin and Mukku with Furifuri-kun, a weird, dancing… thing.

Cyber Gadget’s Cyber Solar Battery. This charging device, which connects via USB adapter cable to DSi, DS Lite, or DSi XL, in addition to acting as a battery charged over AC, makes use of the most abundant resource on Earth: third-party DS accessories.

I’m quite happy to see more multi-system, multi-power DS chargers like this and Answer’s version. This one has a pretty large solar panel! I’m no scientist, but this seems like it would eat up more sun-food at a time, allowing the gears inside to convert the yellow light juice into DS lightning.

Oh, by the way, it’s like $70. :(

Image used in Cyber Gadget’s page for its Wii Code Freak cheat device. This Mario -inspired image features a giant, superpowered — and inexplicably pixelated — Code Freak mascot busting up a Mario stage like the giant Mario in New Super Mario Bros. on DS.

I think there was a … green teddy bear monster in the pipe? I think the player character has … a sparkling meat item?

Cyber Gadget is a weird company.

Karen’s Puzzle, a bafflingly random iPhone app by accessory maker Cyber Gadget. Karen is a spokesmodel of sorts for Cyber Gadget, a company best known (to us) for its Gachapin accessories and the Familator.

The app consists mainly of slide puzzles featuring Karen playing a DS with a Code Freak cheat device attached. Completing a puzzle unlocks that photo in a gallery, and you can watch Code Freak commercials.

If you love slide puzzles and being advertised to, you can get the app here.

    A d-pad cover for the DS →

Shortly after the PSP’s release, adhesive toppers for the system’s directional pad became popular for two reasons:

    1. The PSP d-pad is poop
    2. The PSP has fighting games

The DS is basically exempt from both of those conditions, so a cover isn’t really necessary. But neither was a NES cartridge adapter for the DS, and Cyber Gadget solved that nonexistent problem.

The Cyber Assist Coin fits on top of the DS Lite or DSi d-pad, and hangs from a strap when not in use. It’ll be out in July, though I’m not sure if import retailers will rush to carry it.

Upcoming Gachapin and Mukku DSi “semi-hard cases” from Cyber Gadget. Like the last Gachapin cases we featured, these will be released in Japan this June. Also on the way: new styli!

If I ever make it to Japan, I’ll probably come back laden with ridiculous Gachapin DS accessories.

Gachapin and Mukku DSi cases, coming in June from Cyber Gadget. These are among my favorite Gachapin DS accessories, because of two wonderful details:

    1. Each character is holding a DSi with the other character’s case!
    2. The DSi camera is hidden in the character’s eye!

Cyber Gadget is also releasing these DS game cases, which, Eric pointed out to me, look like Gachapin or Mukku is looking at your games when open! Fantastic!
