D3P wil put out two games based on my favorite Cartoon Network shows this fall, including a new Adventure Time release for Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows. Titled Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW!, the game has players “exploring the mysteries surrounding a massive Secret Royal Dungeon deep below the Land of Ooo.” It will feature voices from the show and four-player co-op.
In Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby In 8-Bit Land, which we now know is a 3DS exclusive, the game’s eponymous characters “get transported into some of their favorite video games [where] they’ll have to use their best skills and unique abilities to traverse the various challenges to escape and get back home.”
Both are under development by WayForward — that news is either awesome or disappointing, depending on your opinion of the studio’s output and the first Adventure Time DS/3DS game.
Love this art by JL Hirten, by the way!

We all have more than enough to play without even thinking about our backlogs, but if you do decide to pick this up, judging by our list of upcoming releases, you will have time to play it during the first week of April. May also looks open for now, as far as 3DS releases go.
Then Animal Crossing: New Leaf ($5 off) hits on June 9, and we expect to have our schedule filled up afterward until forever.

Looking around Amazon, there are a few rad deals on 3DS games right now! Adventure Time: Hey Long Title is $19.99, as are Kingdom Hearts: Title I’m Definitely Not Writing and Resident Evil Revelaitons. That last one is coming to PS3, Xbox, PC, and Wii U in May, but it’ll be $50…
Coming to Japan’s eShop from D3Publisher, Assault the Cheating Boyfriend! Caught You Red-Handed has you playing the part of a suspicious girlfriend searching her man’s house for evidence that he’s gettin’ around.
The graphics are DSiWare quality, but it has one feature that takes advantage of the 3DS ‘capabilities — when you confront one of the four boyfriends available in this game, you can use the handheld’s motion controls to shake the system, which throws the evidence you’ve found at the scoundrel.
Assault the Cheating Boyfriend hits Japan next week or around $3. I’m crossing my fingers for a localized adaptation starring Joey Greco from Cheaters, storming in on adulterous couples and instigating fights.
BUY Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL consoles, upcoming releases
The 3DS eShop now has a demo for Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?! It’s been almost a month since the game released to stores, but better late than never. Also, you can buy the full version as a digital copy on eShop, which is nice. Wait, the trial has a limit of five plays? Unacceptable!
eShop really went HAM today! Look at all these downloadable releases (and the release dates for other upcoming physical and digital games).

If you haven’t stumbled upon this Adventure Time DS/3DS Easter egg yourself yet, here’s the game’s fantastic “Secret Screen” that you can access after punching in the famous Konami code at the “Touch to Start” screen.
Secret screen, this is the secret secret screen. Ba-da-da-da-da-da-da secret screen.

After all the food I’ve eaten today, I think I’m going to go with the second choice. Maybe tomorrow, Finn!
I’ve been trying to decide whether to buy/play this or ZombiU for the holiday weekend, as both have received a lot of praise recently. But then I remembered Crashmo came out today. And that there are so many books I’ve been meaning to read. I bet I end up playing/doing nothing because I am terrible at picking one thing I want to do.

Oh, and you knew this comes out today too, right? The impressions I’ve read so far have been positive. Joystiq:
“If you look at it purely from a gameplay perspective, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?! is an adequate, albeit cookie-cutter Zelda 2 clone. It’d still be worth playing through even without the Adventure Time motif, but the game’s tight controls and fantastic boss fights would be forgettable in any other setting.
But, to look at it that way would be to ignore what makes it truly special: This game is as heartwarming and gut-busting as the show, which is to say that it’s a magical journey of friendship and punching jerks for fun. Hey Ice King is a potent distillation of everything that makes the cartoon such an uncommon, endearing powerhouse, and out of all the things I assumed this game would be, that was never, ever one of them.”
Very happy to hear the writing is on point.

Apparently Ice King is stealing Princess Bubblegum’s pantyhose now (Or maybe it was Cinnamon Bun?). Not sure if this is part of a fetish of his, or if he’s just trying to keep warm under his wizard robes. I’m leaning toward the former, considering Ice King’s unhealthy BP infatuation.
Anyway, here are new screenshots from the upcoming DS and 3DS game. And here are photos of two cakes we had made for my LSP-obsessed wife’s birthday.

New gameplay clips for Adventure Time 3DS! I hardly noticed them, though, when I realized the music is a remix of Marceline’s Fry Song, which is amazing.
Crossing my fingers for a Virt remix of “Bacon Pancakes.”

I was a little disappointed that the included stylus is based on Finn’s lost golden blade and not his Root Sword, but then I realized that I am a grown-up, and it’s time to accept that you can’t have everything, and that this is still a lot of sweet stuff for an extra $10.
Instead, let us contemplate why Finn’s “loot” is made up of ketchup bottles, salt shakers, eggs, butter pads, and what looks like bags of trail mix.

The latest issue of Famitsu’s reveals that Konami has what looks like another Professor Layton clone (at least in its visual style) in the works, this time for Nintendo 3DS and called Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights.
This new title follows mustachioed archeologist Lautrec and his companion Sophie in an adventure broken into four portions: events, battle, exploration and conversation.
D3P announced its own 3DS title for the U.S. today, an original arcade shooter titled Dream Trigger 3D, in which players “use sonar to detect sound to expose colorful enemies and blast them into explosive 3D patterns”.
