Korogashi Puzzle Katamari Damacy gameplay video.

If you’re wondering how a DSiWare puzzler based on the Katamari Damacy brand works, here’s a demonstration! The music isn’t from the game; the original footage had no audio, so I dropped in some “Danketsu”. The actual soundtrack will feature the “Katamari of Love” ending theme performed by vocaloid sensation Hatsune Miku.

Namco Bandai will release Korogashi Puzzle Katamari Damacy on the DSi’s download service next week for 500 Nintendo points in Japan. Siliconera also has a detailed description on how the title will likely play, comparing its mechanics to Pac-Attack.

Import: Japanese Nintendo DSi (White, Black, Pink, Lime Green, Metallic Blue)

Preorder: U.S. Matte Black and Blue DSi

Tactics Idol: Let Us Sing Together (music starts at 01:20).

This odd, fan-made video melds Quest’s hallowed Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together with an inconceivable partner, Namco’s The Idolmaster.

I never knew that there was a need inside me to see a fantasy-combat SRPG combined with a pop idol group management sim, but now that I know that such a thing can exist, I can think of nothing else.

And god damn this song’s chorus is catchy. You can also see and hear the “Danketsu” track — taking in some context that will help you better understand the above clip — with this subtitled music video.
